Who can join a playtest?
We accept participants from all over the world who are at least 18 years of age. All playtesters must be proficient enough in English to leave feedback and read instructions. Also, they must own, or have access to, at least one of the following devices: a mobile phone (iOS, Android), PC (with access to Steam), PlayStation (PS4 or later models) or Xbox (X1 or later models). Our games may be available in other languages, but instructions for playtests will only be available in English. Feedback must be submitted in English.

What am I agreeing to?
You may need to agree to signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to a playtest session, which makes sure that confidential and proprietary information about our work and projects don’t reach the public. An NDA means that you will not be allowed to share anything about the playtest or the game.

What if I don’t play games often, can I still sign up?
Definitely! We’re looking for a wide swath of players to join us for playtests.

When and how do I get contacted for a playtest?
As soon as you register, your info will be stored in our playtest database for future opportunities. You will receive emails periodically for playtests or surveys you are eligible to participate in.

Depending on the playtest, we have different sets of criteria we need to fulfil to make the study scientific and statistically valid. If you are eligible to participate in a playtest, we will reach out!

How long does a playtest take?
An on-site or remote session usually takes 1-2 hour(s), however, we also conduct diary studies where you, in the comfort of your own home and on your own time, can test whenever and how often you’d like for an extended period. We may, however, set deadlines for when the feedback should be sent to us.

Where are the playtests held?
Our playtests are often conducted remotely (comfort of your own home). It may also take place on-site in our lab in Aarhus, Denmark, however, in the registration questionnaire, you’ll be able to choose how you’d like to test: remotely, on-site or both.

Is this a job?
Absolutely not. Playtesting is solely voluntary. We may compensate participants with gift cards or other compensation, at our sole discretion.

What if I no longer wish to be contacted about playtesting?
That’s not a problem at all! If you want to opt out from playtesting, you can send an email to playtest@pactiongames.com mentioning the request as well as your name.

I want to see what information about me Paction Games keeps. What can I do?
We care about your privacy. In compliance with privacy laws and our Privacy Policy, you can send us various requests regarding your personal information, including requests to access and/or delete such information. To do so, please send us an email at playtest@pactiongames.com mentioning the request, your name and the e-mail address you registered with.
